Our Not-So Regular Blog

And Not Always Just About Vintage Décor :-)
By CJ Beoddy July 7, 2019
Just a few short months ago my bride and I didn't know one glass manufacturer from another, but our home has always been one to spark compliments. Christine grew up overseas and traveled extensively in her early career which eventually led her to start out and build a successful and award winning Commercial Interior Design firm. After selling VeenendaalCave Incorporated and sending our two youngest off to college we were left with energy, curiosity and time on our hands. Suddenly we fell in love with the Vintage collection, up-cycling and re-purposing community and began to devour blogs, vlogs and all the information we could put our hands on. We both love the "ART" of the story and truly how we decorate our homes and the gifts we give are just a different way of telling a story. And the 'Vintage' community has some of the most amazing story tellers. Many nights we listen to some of our favorites (we will recommend many here in our blog and through out our website, Facebook and ETSY store front.) well past midnight - how this adventure was spark is still a mystery to me but I believe it was simply looking for ideas on how to refresh our own home and seeing the amazing resources and people in the community. As I eluded to both of us enjoy telling a good story and nothing tells a story in a more unique way the little and large vignettes with which we decorate our homes. These stories really reflect the character, personality and vitality of the family which makes an apartment, condominium, trailer or house into a "home." The combination of these inspiring resources, our own eye for design and the thrill of what I have come to call "Prospecting" led us to launch Vintage Panache. Vintage because of the stories told by every piece we discover and restore to today's consciousness and Panache because no story is worth telling without at a good bit of flare. I hope you enjoy today's pictures of just a few of our home's vignettes - stories of who we are and the shoulders of our generations of family on which we stand today. ~ CJ sends!
What did Paul do for three years inside of the cave?
By websitebuilder July 7, 2019
Paul stepped into the cave with a world view that no longer made any sense. He had encountered the one living true God and God was not who Paul thought HE was. Paul had some major reprograming of his cognitive map of how the world worked. Paul was reprogramming a lifetime of experience to match to this new world GOD thrust upon him. When what I hold to be true is confronted with a reality that shatters that understanding, I must build a real construct .. one consistent with the facts as I now understand them. If the earth is not the center of the planets; what is? My understanding of planetary movements must now be remapped in my own understanding to a new solar centered understanding. It is when we are willing to discard the old patterns, that we find a place to accept the possibility of a new world...of reality. Paul was throwing out human religion and understanding, so he could open his mind, heart and soul to the new world GOD revealed when the scales fell from his eyes. First the erroneous world was made dark and blocked by scales upon his eyes. Then a new world was revealed; Paul needed to digest the truth and changed his world view.
What does God want me to find inside myself that I'm missing?

Open your eyes, really open your eyes; Open them so wide that the color and light take away everything you would paint upon their canvas. Really see. Open your eyes wide until every predetermined line and shade of color is lost in the blurr. Now take in what is left, what is absolutely real a begin a new foundation. Understand a world from not just a new point of reference but every point of reference. Not just yours, but theirs and a few no one has considered.
